2022 Spring / Summer

A big big thank you!

A group of four graduating students and two staff visited the US in February. We were able to visit friends and churches in Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Augusta, Denver and Los Angeles!

Everyone received us with a warm welcome and left everlasting memories for the students. Students were able to experience the culture, practice their English, taste some amazing foods and warm & cold weather. But the most memorable experience for all of us was the gracious and loving embrace from everyone we met! Nothing expresses God’s grace and love more than the prayers they received and heartfelt encouragement from people who they met for the first time.

I was able to speak and share about what God continues to do in Korea with the young people of North Korea now living in South Korea. Coming back to Dallas to visit Valley View was an amazing experience for Lilly and I as this was where our mission journey began for our family. There were many conversations and dialogues to learn more about the work and mission of English Leadership Ministry in Korea. ELM students shared their experiences leaving their homes and what it is like to live in South Korea.

I can’t thank enough to all those who have prepared and supported us to make this trip come true after two years of planning and fundraising! We truly can’t do what we do without your prayers and financial support*. Please consider becoming a regular supporter by going to https://give.footstool.org/ELM. Your support enables ELM to educate, empower and train global leaders for the future! By doing so, NK students will testify to God's grace and love through their lives.

* Donations to ELM are US tax-deductible.

A New Semester Begins!

We started a new semester with seven new enthusiastic college students along with 17 returning students and graduates! Starting a semester with the rest of Korea coming out of COVID-19 pandemic, we are all still getting used to meeting in person to study and worship together. Please continue to pray for us to keep all our students, teachers and staff healthy through the “endemic”.
